PATHS • Megan Pischke-Porcheron • Living a Life by Design • Episode 184

Megan grew up as a professional snowboarder in the nineties Colorado jib scene. Soon she was traveling the globe, featured in magazines and movies. A successful pro career by any measure. She went on to a job at North Face - and had a couple of kids with husband and pro shredder DCP. Then one day life changed - Megan was diagnosed with breast cancer. Megan is not just a survivor - she is a thriver. Having held retreats for cancer survivors for over a decade with B4BC - she thought she knew what she was a in for - little did she know. I caught up with her in Costa Rica where she is living with David and raising their kids.

PATHS • Sam Bawden • Father, Architect, Snowboarder – In That Order • Episode 183

Sam Bawden grew up as a snowboarder in Utah, before achieving significant success as an architect. Buildings designed by Sam can be found on multiple continents, but you don't have to go much further than the Cardiff Fork in Utah to find where Sam finds both escape and connection - to his family, friends, work and personal passions. There is a level of integrity in Sam that I think everyone can learn from. The fact that he has led a successful career - which allowed him to start a snowboarding brand is the cherry on top.

PATHS • Herb George • Globe Brand Creative Director • Episode 181

Herb has had an amazing career as an art and creative director. His prior ventures include being there marketing guy for O Sin, working with Burton and Forum, magazines like Slam, XXL and Honey and brands like Etnies and Globe. He also shot a pictorial for Playboy Magazine. Needless to say an interesting path.

PATHS • Javas Lehn • Javas Lehn Studio NYC • Episode 180

Javas got his start as a rider - then pro for Gnu and Oakley. For most people, that would be career enough - but that wasn't even the beginning of Javas' path. He went to design school and worked agency jobs for a number of years before moving to NYC. A job initially at MOMA led to him starting his own agency, JAVAS LEHN STUDIO (http://javaslehnstudio.com). Surface Magazine, Holden Outerwear and a number of 'art' books have led Javas to developing a minimalist design sensibility all his own.

PATHS • Ben Pruess • President, Tommy Hilfiger • Episode 179

Ben Pruess is a bad ass. He got his start in snowboarding as a pro rider before becoming the Rev team manager in the early 90s. From there, things on the career track went a little bananas - launching Salomon Snowboards, running Bonfire, running Adidas Heritage - which he quickly transformed into Adidas Originals - yup he started that. A brief stint running and owning Holden before launching Under Armor's Sportswear division before becoming president of Tommy Hilfiger. That's at least three multibillion dollar companies he has served as VP or better. He has come long way.
