Pro Files featuring Sam Klein • Go Hard!
Sam Klein is one amazing rider - his approach to street may fall outside today's popular mini shred type features. Instead, Sam draws inspiration from riders like Frank Bourgeois and Jed Anderson and instead of focusing on what is the flavor of the day, goes for big rails with immediate consequences for coming up short.
Pro Files featuring Ken Achenbach • First in Canada, First in the World
Ken may be Canada's first snowboarder - if you don't believe me find someone who went riding before him. While that may be in dispute, The Snowboard Shop is not - it was the world's first snowboard specific retailer - inspiring a generation of Canadian riders. He also built the world's first twin tip snowboard - the Barfoot Twin Tip, created an early snowboard specific clothing line and started The Camp of Campions - a snowboard camp that trained aspiring riders for 25 years. To say Ken is a legend is an understatement - to say that he is still, 40 plus years on, a dedicated snowboarder, is simply a statement of fact.
Pro Files featuring Valentino Guseli • 2021 Prodigy
his is the youngest rider we have ever interviewed. This is also his first interview. Why? Pro Files Featuring Sven Thorgren • From Podiums & Video Parts to Backyard Parks
Sven first made his mark on professional riding by winning the 2013 Air and Style in Beijing China. Soon he found himself narrowly missing the podium - and an Olympic medal - in Sochi. He has gone on to many victories and podiums - at World Cup and X-Games events. But we start out with his most recent finish - 2nd place at the first post pandemic World Cup event. We touch on a bunch of subjects in this interview - notably his opening part in the recent Scandalnavians 2 movie as well as the backyard park he has been perfecting his home in Sweden for the last couple of years.
Pro Rider Life with Fridge and Mons Roisland
We have done a lot of different episodes this fall - but not a lot on pro riders. It seems like with the travel restrictions, lack of events and premieres, it became a lot more difficult to 'do your job' as a professional snowboarding athlete. So I checked in with two of my favorite Norweigan pros - Fridtjof Sæther Tischendorf aka Fridge and Mons Roisland who just came off a podium finish at the first major contest in ten months.
