Episode 37: Nate Holland – 7x X-Games Champ

Holland won a gold medal in Snowboard Cross at the 2007 Winter X Games XI in Aspen, Colorado. He won another gold medal at the 2008. Nate has won 7 gold medals in the X-games, 5 of which were back to back, creating a new world record for most medals won in a row in Boarder-X. Nate Holland has been paving the way for his sport, competing in races long before it was an official Olympic competition. Nate has competed in the Olympics three times.

If he's not riding down one the sketchiest lines ever attempted (and survived) by a human, he's unleashing his quick-witted, erratic behavior upon the industry and world at large. Episode 27: Rob Kingwill

Rob Kingwill got his start as a sponsored athlete - going on to success in halfpipe competitions around the world. He went to win a Grand Prix titler as well as winning the coveted US Open halfpipe championship. Since he has gone on to be better known for riding powder in Alaska and for his event in Jackson Hole called the Shapers Summit. Rob still competes in events like the Mt. Baker Banked Slalom and Rat Race.

Episode 25: Jason Borgstede

In the mid 90’s to early 2000’s, Jason Borgstede was known for his video parts, progressive big air tricks and switch 360 backflip affectionately known as the Borgaerial. Jason was a consistent top finisher in events such as the X Games and Vans Triple Crown. While his pro career came to a some what sudden end, Borgy never stopped riding and these days, he’s working to spread the stoke to a new generation with his Anchorage-based shop Blue & Gold.

Before Chloe Kim and Kelly Clark, there was another prodigy in women’s halfpipe riding: Tricia Byrnes. From winning the US Open as a teenager, to going to the Olympics and today helping run the USASA, Tricia has made a life and career from the sport of snowboarding.
